I was working yesterday just ringing up customers and my eyes fell upon the most interesting sight. A girl with her mother and they were just coming in to get some groceries and be on their way. The girl was clutched onto her mother. She was a normal person in every way but for some reason my eyes were drawn to her because I realized that she was blind. I wonder what could happen in this world to make someone blind. Was she born blind? or Was this the product of laser surgery? I did not ask but I witnessed these two people so dependent on each other walking through my line. I wonder what she felt, how it must be to be blind. Your other senses must be so defined to not be able to see. You know, we are all blessed with this life and it is up to us to use what we are given in the beginning. If we fail to use those things that we are given then shame on us because God made us for a purpose. So the next time you are walking around just muttering to yourself that this life sucks remember that there are so many wonderful things that we are blessed with. You can see the colors of the universe, hear the music of the season, speak the words of compassion and smell the scents of the flowers that are in bloom. Life is grand here is to holding my hand in your hand. :)
