Compliment/Feeling Great

~Ramblings of a Survivor~

So here I stand my hand next to this desolate land.

I redefined what it was to be a man.

I smile regardless of this bad sand I have had to tread.

My kiss has been to many but my heart to myself.

My life a torrid memory of what not to do.

My stride long and wide tracking down the hills of Kent State.

I wonder to the future and the creature that I will be.

So here is my plan to make my stand moving up to the big man.

~Song of the Day~

Compliment

by Collective Soul

Now I've taken the side

Of a beautiful calm

Can you see this disguise

Fading to a resolve

And there it goes my innocence

While gathering up a compliment

And here I lie with words to swear

There's something more than

The world out there

Hesitation compounds

I've nothing left to sustain

My worries here have allowed

A momentary refrain

And there it goes my innocence

While gathering up a compliment

And here I lie with words to swear

There's something more

Than the world out there

What a good song. This temporary life is often missed because we were too busy being concerned with worries and troubles. I know you just can't wish away life or cares but a little less attention to the bad and more attention to the good has a massive affect on people. I hope that tonight all of you are having a good one. Take sometime out to treat yourself good.
